Presentation Description: Our club is dedicated to empowering students to create their own fundraisers and drive positive change in their communities. By collaborating internationally, we support charitable initiatives and offer workshops that enhance skills in leadership and communication. We operate on a profit-sharing model, with 70% of funds raised reinvested into future events and 30% donated to charity at year-end. Members gain exposure to diverse cultures, develop a valuable network, and enhance their college applications through unique experiences. Upcoming initiatives include supporting our Taiwan branch’s fundraiser and a “money jar” project during Family Weekend, where we aim to maximize donations. Join us in making a meaningful impact!

Summary:

Access and privilege in education refer to the unequal opportunities students have based on factors like income, location, and background. While some students attend well-funded schools with experienced teachers, advanced courses, and strong support systems, others face limited resources, overcrowded classrooms, or fewer opportunities to succeed. Privilege can include access to tutoring, technology, networks, and guidance that make navigating education easier. These differences shape not only academic outcomes, but also confidence and future opportunities. Recognizing this gap is the first step toward creating a more equitable system where success isn’t determined by where you come from, but by the opportunities you’re given.
